Disney was generous enough to give me complimentary passes to Disney World. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
I
've been planning this trip for a year now. I really wanted to come back to Magic Kingdom and do the things I didn't do since visiting last year. As always, I had a magical time. After all, it's the most magical place on earth.
This time around, I got myself a Disney MagicBand that retails around $18 with tax.
Here's a description from Disney World's website: "MagicBands are colorful, waterproof wristbands—resembling a watch or bracelet—that you can quickly and easily touch to a sensor called a touch point. Cards work in a similar fashion, but physically resemble a plastic credit card or driver’s license. Both MagicBands and cards allow you to travel lighter throughout your vacation.
You can use your MagicBand or card to:
- Unlock the door of your Disney Resort hotel room.
- Enter theme and water parks (with valid admission).
- Check in at FastPass+ entrances.
- Connect Disney PhotoPass images to your account.
- Charge food and merchandise purchases to your Disney Resort hotel room (only available during your hotel stay).
- Add a touch of magic to your vacation by unlocking special surprises, personalized just for you, throughout the Walt Disney World Resort!"
A spectacular performance in front of the castle with Mickey, Minnie and more!
I sang along with Let It Go when Elsa started singing.
After the parade, we walked around and took more photos...
I'm so happy I finally had their Dole Whip ice cream ($4.79) that I've been seeing in most of the Disney World pins suggested on Pinterest. It was so good! I got the Swirl (mixed of Pineapple and Vanilla). For lunch, I had turkey leg...huge turkey leg. I recommend that you try it too.
I just really wanted to go on the Thunder Mountain ride because it's one of my favorites in Disney World. I recommend that you download their app and get a Fast Pass for rides that have longer wait times. Make sure to plan your trip ahead.
Do check the weather, it's really important just in case it rains, buy a raincoat/poncho from Walmart or your local store to save more money. I got mine at Universal for $10+ and Disney sells them for $14+.
This trip was different because we had a toddler with us (my 18 month old niece). And with the rain, we weren't able to stay throughout the night. We still had so much fun! I'm hoping to be back soon!
